JOB DESCRIPTION:

Security Guard needed for Corporate, Full-Service Holiday Inn located in Hollywood, Florida.

BASIC FUNCTION:

We are seeking a Rockstar Security Guard to patrol and inspect the hotel property safeguarding against fire, enforce property laws and work to deter all types of criminal activity.

*** Position requires to work from 11 pm to 5 am ***

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Patrol all areas of the hotel including the parking lot, outside grounds, hotel hallways, reception area, and fitness center.

• Protect the staff, the people and the property

• Patrol hotel premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows, and gates.

• Answer alarms and investigate disturbances.

• Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security of premises.

• Reports irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.

• Call police or fire departments in cases of emergency, such as fire or presence of unauthorized persons.

• Circulate among visitors, patrons, and employees to preserve order and protect property.

• Acting as a deterrent and calling police if something is observed

• Reports lighting out

• Check to make sure Doors are locked and/or left ajar

• Monitor for Trespassers

• Occasional Miscellaneous assignments

• Excellent guest service skills
• Professional appearance

QUALIFICATIONS:

Previous experience in security preferred. Applicant will not be armed at any time with a firearm.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

While performing job duties, the associate will speak, listen, process requests & operate office equipment. Physical requirements include extended periods of standing &/or walking, bending, reaching, pulling, pushing, kneeling, & lifting up to 50 pounds
